Thomas Widman is a seasoned attorney with over 32 years of experience, primarily focused on litigation and complex collections. Thomas provides strategic direction for the firm’s litigation and complex collection business unit to help achieve the firm’s long-term goals and uphold its mission and values.
Thomas has a robust background in collections, having worked with a diverse range of clients from community banks and credit unions to large national financial institutions.
Prior to joining Weltman, he worked as a litigator in the collection industry at a debt settlement firm and at a high-volume law firm focused on mortgage services, residential foreclosure litigation, and title/settlement closing.
Admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1992, Thomas holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cincinnati and a J.D. from Capital University Law School. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and has been a licensed Ohio title insurance agent since 2000.
Outside the office, Thomas is a dedicated husband and father of three, based in Westerville, Ohio. He enjoys golfing, traveling, reading fiction, and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, Columbus Crew, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
