An HR veteran of the services industry, Karen has collaborated with executives to develop and implement HR strategies to lay the foundation for future growth.
Karen is a results-driven human resource (HR) executive with over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership positions. She has a proven track record of establishing and revitalizing HR functions within organizations, navigating complex eviorments to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
For over a year, Karen has served as an HR executive at Weltman, collaborating with leadership to align HR strategies with firm goals. She specializes in developing and implemenring progressive programs that motivate, incentivize, and reward employees. Karen also provides expert guidance on HR processes and maintains transparent communicationto keep employees informed.
Karen holds an MBA with a concentration in HR from Baldwin Wallace University (Summa cum laude, 2018) and a BBA from Cleveland State University in Management & Labor. She is currenlty a doctoral candidate at Liberty University, where her dissertation topis is "Human Resources Challanges Impcating Employee Retention." Karen also holds the SHRM-Senior Certified Professional credential and is licensed by the Ohio Department of Insurance in all major lines.
Throught her career, Karen has demonstrated a commitment to excellence. She has designed and implemented successful talent attraction and retention strategies even amid challenging circumstances during COVID-19 pandemic. Karen is adept as realigning human capital activities to meet evolving business needs. She has extensive experience in all aspects of HR infrastructure, including policy development, wage and hour law, employee relations, Title VII investigations, compensation, benefits, and HRIS implementation.
Karen resides in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and has eight children, four in-state and four out-of-state. When she isn’t working or studying, Karen enjoys spending time with her family and her schnauzer!
