Weltman Announces the Appointment of Sara Costanzo to the Board of the Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm in its 90th year of client service, is pleased to announce that shareholder Sara Costanzo has been appointed to the board of the Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation. This foundation, established in 1987, is a 501©(3) charitable, not-for-profit organization supporting the mission of University Hospitals Parma Medical Center. The foundation was established to lead philanthropic development for hospital services and programs, equipment upgrades, and new construction supportive of care for patients and their families. Since their establishment, they have raised nearly $10 million to enhance their clinical care and community outreach.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join the board,” says Sara. ”This foundation provides funding in areas of integrative care, hospice, palliative care, and advanced illness care along with other areas of need for the hospitals’ staff and community. They have supported the UH Parma mission for over three decades, including the development of a music therapy program (established in the spring of 2020). This program helps not only patients, but their families and the staff providing treatment.”

Sara has been with the Weltman firm for over 25 years. During this time she has served as practice chair of the firm’s community banking, government collections, healthcare collections, landlord/tenant and utility collections groups. In 2018, she transitioned into a new role within the business development group, where she now focuses on maintaining client relationships and developing new ones both locally and nationally in scale.

Sara is a frequent lecturer on topics including reporting financial elder abuse/misappropriation, fraud and embezzlement in public office, various collection strategies, landlord-tenant law, and several federal regulations. Thanks to her activity in several charities, Sara has earned the firm multiple recognitions. She is a current member of the Ohio Health Care Association, a business executive advisory board member on the Heidelberg University School of Business’ Berg Business Board, and was previously on the board of directors for March of Dimes of Northeast Ohio from 2006-2017.
