Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA Attorneys Named to the 2022 Ohio Super Lawyers List

Topics: Awards

CLEVELAND — Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 90 years of client service, is honored to announce three of its attorneys were named to the 2022 Ohio Super Lawyers list, with an additional two attorneys being named to the 2022 Ohio Rising Stars list.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Because of this rigorous selection process, only 5% of all practicing lawyers are selected to the Super Lawyers list for their region and practice area. Additionally, only 2.5% of all attorneys under age 40 will be selected to the relevant Rising Stars list each year.

Weltman is pleased to have the following attorneys named to the 2022 Ohio Super Lawyers list:

Allen Reis, shareholder: Al practices consumer collections out of the firm’s Columbus office. He represents creditors throughout Central Ohio, working with a range of clients, from community banks and credit unions to some of the largest and most recognizable financial institutions in the U.S. Al has been named to Super Lawyers lists over ten different times.

Larry Rothenberg, shareholder: Larry is a Cleveland-based veteran real estate attorney. He assists banks, credit unions, and mortgage servicers with real estate transactions and enforcing their rights in defaulted real estate-secured loans. Larry has been recognized by Super Lawyers in 2004, 2005, and 2008-2022.

Scott Weltman, shareholder: Scott primarily practices commercial and consumer collections, operating out of the firm’s Cleveland office. He also returned to his position as chair of the Probate Recovery Group in 2021, where he leads Weltman’s probate litigation and defense services. Scott was first named to the 2005 Ohio Rising Stars list and then recognized by Super Lawyers in 2007 and 2010-2022.

The following two attorneys have been selected to the 2022 Ohio Rising Stars list:

Stefanie Kempfer Collier, attorney: Stefanie practices out of the firm’s Cleveland office and focuses on repossession and collateral recovery, compliance analysis and review, and commercial and residential evictions. Stefanie has been named to the Rising Stars list since 2019.

Ricardo Johnstone, attorney: Ricardo practices out of the firm’s Cincinnati office and is part of the Real Estate Default Group where he works with default servicing managers from banks and other financial institutions, both locally and on a national scale. This is his first time receiving Super Lawyer’s Ohio Rising Star honor.

Congratulations to every attorney selected to the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.
