Credit Union Representation

We’re your trusted partner, for every recovery need

Hundreds of credit unions across the nation call on us for all their legal and collection matters.

If you’re in need of a personal business advisor, look no further than the Weltman Credit Union Group. We partner with credit unions of all sizes to evaluate and find effective solutions for their business and legal needs, from charged-off delinquent accounts to complex legal matters. We offer an array of general counsel services – including on a retainer basis – to help credit unions meet their business goals, ensure their regulatory compliance, and manage their risk.

Our Services Include

Comprehensive Collection Services

As a law firm with in-house collection services, we have the ability to integrate the filing of legal action with collection activity wherever a member or a member's assets may be located, nationwide. Our credit union clients enjoy having a convenient, single source alternative for all their collection, probate, bankruptcy, and real estate default needs.

General Counsel Services

For many credit unions, in-house counsel just isn’t feasible. Our cost-effective general counsel services are customized to fit your unique needs, whether they are periodic or on an ongoing basis. Our attorneys are readily available to address any areas of concern, and are always focused on minimizing risk and upholding member satisfaction.

Retainer Program

Unlike other “use it or lose it” retainer programs, Weltman’s monthly retainer fee remains in your account until services are utilized. Our retainer clients enjoy reduced rates on contingency collections and hourly attorney fees, making the program one of the most cost-effective solutions for all of your legal and debt recovery needs.

Nationwide Attorney Representation

We pride ourselves on the ability to service credit unions large or small, locally or across the country. Our attorneys are licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. For matters outside of these states, we use our own thoroughly vetted and audited attorney network.
